Venue

The conference will take place at the Kollegienhaus of the University of Basel (Petersplatz 1, 4051 Basel).

For the penal discussion on the 12th of September 2018 we recommend using the side entrance on Petersgraben 50. The event will take place in the lecture hall HS 102 (first floor) at the Kollegienhaus of the University of Basel.

Rooms

Ground Floor - Auditorium
The plenary events such as greetings, plenary lectures, etc. take place here. In the foyer of the auditorium you will find the registration office, a cloakroom, the buffet and coffee machines as well as toilets.

Directions

Public transportation

The University of Basel is very easy to get to by public transportation. From the SBB and Badischer Bahnhof train stations it takes around ten minutes on bus 30 to reach the bus stop “Universität”.

Car

When traveling from the A2/A3, follow signs to Basel-Süd/City, Ausfahrt Basel-Süd/West Universitätsspital, Universitätsspital and City-Parking. Because finding suitable parking is difficult, we recommend using public transport.

Plane

Take the airport shuttle bus (number 50) from Basel EuroAirport to SBB train station and then change to bus 30.

Accomodation

The University of Basel has agreements with hotels which offer spiecial prices. You can find them below. Booking and payment is made by the participants themselves. The offer is limited. Booking early is recommended. You can book directly by the hotels and you will get the reduced price by indicating your participation at the conference with the subject "Abschaffung des Rechts". The prices below are without the City tax. We also recommend booking via the common platforms like airbnb, booking.com etc.

We would like to invite you to the public pre-event in connection with the conference the evening of the 12th of September 2018. It would be a pleasure to welcome you at this event. Please note that some of the hotels below require a three night stand (12 - 15 September 2018) to get the reduced price.
