Social Events
There are two large conference social events.
The conference party takes place on the first day, that is on the 15th April 2019, in the Great Hall of the London Metropolitan University. This event incurs only a very low fee and is open for up to 600 participants. We will be serving wine and beer, different sorts of fresh bread from small local London bakeries and water.
The Tuxedo Jazz Band will be playing jazz for dancing! The first original Tuxedo Brass Band was one of the most highly regarded brass bands of New Orleans, Louisiana in the 1910s and 1920s. It was led by Papa Celestin and many noted jazz greats were playing in the band although the group never recorded. Our Tuxedo Jazz Band plays mostly in London and will entertain you from 9pm until midnight.
The conference dinner takes place on the second day, that is on the 16th April 2019. The dinner takes place in a smaller place, that is in the Old Kitchen of Kenwood House which is located in Hampstead Heath, just up the road from the London Metropolitan University. Places are limited to 80 participants. There will be a three-course dinner which is more expensive than for the party. Participants can register on a first-come-first-serve basis when registering for the conference.
