Gianina-Estera Petre is from Romania. She has a Ph.D. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, from the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies, Philippines. She had worked for several years as a preschool and primary school teacher in public and private educational institutions from Romania. She has many research interests, including qualitative research methodology, training researchers in qualitative research methodology, action research as a design to improve education practices and photovoice for marginalized groups, cooperative learning and interactive teaching, institutional growth and development, initial teacher education, integration of values in teaching, and transformation of women’s lives through education.

Currently, she is Assistant Professor at the Adventus University from Romania and serves as a Guest Faculty at the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies, Philippines.
