Received B.Sc. And M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering form the University of Baghdad, Iraq in 1977 and 1979 respectively. Was a lecturer at the University of Techniology, Baghdad, Iraq from 1979 to 1985.  Received Ph.D. Degree from Queens University, Canada in 1990. Joined Nortel Networks in 1991 as Design for Testability Advisor. Was the director of Engineering at LogicVision, (1999-2009). Joined TSMC in 2009 focusing on Memory Test and Memory BIST development. Chaired the IEEE1450.6.2 standard 2008-2014. Previous TTSC Chair, Chair and VC of IEEE1450.6.2 WG.
