He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Seoul National University in South Korea. From 2008 to 2025, he worked at Samsung Electronics developing in-house test equipment and conducting R&D related to test systems. At Samsung, he retrofitted older equipment to achieve performance comparable to new systems at just one-tenth the cost, and developed in-house ATEs at one-fifth the cost of commercial alternatives. He also successfully developed numerous Built-Out Self-Test circuits for testing new products. In addition, he has a proven track record of solving various issues related to test equipment at Samsung. In 2025, he joined Teradyne, where he continues to work on ATE development.
