Wu-Tung Cheng is a Chief Scientist in Siemens Digital Industries Software. He received a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1985. In 1990, he co-founded CheckLogic System Inc. to develop commercial Design-For-Test products. CheckLogic System Inc. merged with Mentor Graphics in 1993. Mentor Graphics was acquired by Siemens in 2016. Wu-Tung Cheng has been an IEEE fellow since 2000. In 2006, he received the ITC Best Paper Award. In 2008, he received the ITC Honorable Mention Award. In 2014, he received the ATS Best Paper Award. He has 182 publications and 85 US patents in the area of semiconductor manufacturing test and diagnosis.
