Hennadii Korzhov is Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’. Fellow of various programmes in the universities and research institutions in Great Britain (Oxford University), USA (Yale University), Germany (GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences), Poland (Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences) and Ukraine. Author of numerous articles on social transformation in the post-Soviet region, co-author of the book University Teachers: A Sociological Portrait (in Ukrainian). His research interests include social-economic and cultural aspects of transformation in Eastern Europe, interrelatedness between culture and economy, social inequality and stratification as well as value attitudes and identity changes in contemporary society.
