SHERMAN MICHAEL ISAAKOVICH

 

Mikhail Isaakovich Sherman, 16.06.1965, was born in the town Lebedin, Sums'ka Oblast, Ukraine, in 1990 he graduated from the Radio physical Faculty of Taras Shevchenko national University of Kyiv, specialty "Radio physics", specialization "Radio physics and electronics".

He began his career in 1990 as a design engineer in Central Design Bureau “Izumrud” Kherson shipbuilding production association, from 1995 to 1998 he worked in the information technology Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kherson area. In February 1997 he defended the dissertation and got the scientific degree of candidate of Technical Sciences, specialty "Theoretical electrical engineering". From June 1998 he was transferred to the Kherson Law Institute of Kharkov National University of Internal Affairs, where he worked on the positions of lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, head of the Department of operational-investigative activities and special equipment. He taught the course "Fundamentals of Informatics and Computer engineering", "Legal Information Retrieval System", "Information Technology in Juridical Activity", "Computer Technologies of Automated Processing of data", "Computer Network", "Legal Statistics". April 2009 – pensioner, transferred to the post of Professor of principles of management and informational technologies of Kherson Law Institute of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, where he worked until 30.06.2011.

In parallel, from 1999 to 2000 - senior lecturer, since 2000 – associate Professor, 2008 till present - Professor of Department of Geoinformation Systems and Technologies of Kherson State Agrarian University, taught courses "Legal Informatics", "Information technology", "Informatics and Systemology".

In 2010 he defended the dissertation and got the scientific degree of the doctor of pedagogical Sciences, specialty 13.00.04 – "Theory and methods of professional education" on the theme "Theoretical and methodological foundations of professional computer and information training of future investigators in higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine".

From July 2011 to September 2013 he held the post of Professor of Informatics and computer technology at Kherson National Technical University, taught courses "Informatics", "Information systems and technologies at the enterprise" for bachelors and specialists, Faculty of Economics, "Electronic documents and data protection" for master students of the Department of public administration and local self-government, "Information and educational technology in higher education" for students of the center of pedagogical skill. In January 2013, he received the certificate of Professor of Informatics and Computer Technology.

Since September 2013, he accepted the position of Professor of Informatics, Software Engineering and Economic Cybernetics of Kherson State University, where he work currently. He is teaching the disciplines "Computer Information Technology" "Information Technology", "Informatics", "Basics of Informatics and Computer Technology", "Legal Statistics", "Information Technology in Higher Education" for students of physical-mathematical faculty, faculty of pedagogical education, economic and law faculties.

Personally published and co-authored more than 200 scientific and educational-methodical works. In particular, seven textbooks in computer science and information technology, four – on legal statistics, two monographs devoted to the problems of computer and informational training in Informatics and computer means of statistical processing of experimental data. Member of the specialized scientific Council at Kherson State University, member of the editorial boards of scientific journals "Young Scientist" and "Actual Problems of Public Administration, Pedagogy and Psychology".
