Halyna Anatoliyivna Baluta studied at  V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in  1982-1987 and obtained MA degree in Linguistics.  In 2001, she was awarded a PhD degree in Social Philosophy at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University. Since 2001, she has been working at the Department of Philosophy at Kryviy Rih State Pedagogical University at various positions: Lecturer (2001-2007), Associate Professor (2007 – present).

   She has been teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Philosophy, Ethics, Aesthetics, Cultural Studies, and Philosophy of Education. She has written over 50 journal articles, refereed conference, and workshop contributions.
