Greeters are volunteers, lovers of Bordeaux and its region. They welcome you to their city and take a small group of ATMC Participants on a personal, one-hour walk, showing the city beyond the guidebooks and off the beaten track.In small groups of 4 to 6 visitors, you will be guided by a local who will show you his or her favorite place in Bordeaux: a district, a monument or an area of the city. Let a local take you on an authentic discovery of Bordeaux.

As the gates open for the 9th edition of the Advances in Tourism Marketing Conference from September 6th to 8th, 2023, Bordeaux, a city emblematic of wine and gastronomy, stands ready to celebrate this year's focal theme: wine and food tourism.

This year's program promises a robust agenda with 13 sessions comprising a total of 39 communications, representing the expertise and diversity of tourism specialists from across the globe. Parallelly, two eminent keynote speakers, alongside an esteemed local guest speaker, are set to share their invaluable insights and perspectives.

Beyond the scholarly dialogues, Bordeaux beckons with its unique charm. Attendees are invited to explore the city's lesser-known gems with dedicated Greeters, offering an authentic taste of Bordeaux. The grandeur of the "Palais Rohan" sets the stage for an exquisite welcome cocktail, and the journey continues with a narrated cruise along the Garonne, capturing Bordeaux's UNESCO-acclaimed allure.

Professor Johan Bruwer is Research Professor of Marketing at the UniSA Business School of the University of South Australia in Adelaide, Australia

He has been a foundation scholar in the field of Wine Tourism with his first top research journal rated publication dating back to 2001, and has executed a host of wine tourism research studies in Australia, USA, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, South Korea, China, Canada and South Africa. To date, he has published more than 300 research journal articles, book chapters, editorials and research reports in the fields of Wine Tourism, Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Hospitality, and Business Management. Withmore than 10,000 citations, he has been rated as among the top 2% of the most-cited global scientistsfrom 149 countries in the world across all research fields in the authoritative Stanford University 2022rating list. He also holds an official researcher rating in the category “internationally acclaimed researchers” awarded by the National Research Foundation.

Professor Bruwer has been Editor-in-Chief of the ESCI-rated International Journal of WineBusiness Research since 2014.

Senior Professor of Operations Management and Information Systems Dr. Tatiana Bouzdine-Chameeva holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Moscow State University complemented by MBA in Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. She has two Habilitations of Supervising Research : in Management Science from the University of Bordeaux (2014) and in Information Sciences from Moscow State University (1991). Her research interests include tourism, wine management, decision support, modeling, optimization, DEA, and operational research. Professeur Bouzidne – Chameeva For several years she has been a leader of the Wine and Spirits Management Academy research team of Kedge Wine School (Bordeaux). Professor Bouzdine-Chameeva received honorary membership and awards from the prestigious JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science).

Professor Haiyan Song has a strong background in Economics. His research focuses on tourism and hotel demand analysis, service recovery, tourist satisfaction, and wine economics. Over the years, Professor Song has played significant roles in a number of international consultancy and collaborative projects, covering tourist satisfaction and service quality indices, Asia Pacific visitor forecasts, web-based tourism demand forecasting system, and development of the Guangdong tourist satellite account, which have considerable impact on tourist destination management.

Professor Song has written extensively on tourism forecasting methodologies and many of his work has appeared in such academic journals as Journal of Development  Economics, Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, and International Journal of Hospitality Management. Among his professional affiliations, he is President of both the International Association for Tourism Economics (IATE) and International Association for China Tourism Studies (IACTS) and is a Fellow of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism (IAST). He is Editor-in-Chief of Journal of China Tourism Research, Resource Editor of Annals of Tourism Research, and Deputy Executive Editor of Tourism Tribune.

The honours he received include the John Wiley & Sons Lifetime Research Achievement Award by the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education in 2010 and Michael D. Olsen Research Achievement Award by University of Delaware in 2014.

Spanning a vast 3000 m², the Permanent Exhibition is divided into six universes, featuring 18 distinct modules.
