Bio

Ms. Shuk Ching Susanne MOK is a school music teacher based in Macao, where she soon begins PhD studies in music education. She holds a Master of Education degree from University of Macau, and her Bachelor studies focused on Chinese traditional music, ethnomusicology, European renaissance music, and classical dance. Her research interests include music education in schools, instrumental and vocal teaching, and traditional music. Ms. Mok is also an experienced advocate of major music teaching methods, including that of Orff, Dalcroze, and Kodály. As a member of ISME, NAfME, AOSA, IKS, and ICDS, she has presented at APSMER and joined an array of seminars, workshops and panel discussions. Active participation in music conferences has taken her to such places as Kecskemét (Hungary), Geneva (Switzerland), Katowice (Poland), Pittsburgh and Los Angeles (USA), as well as cities across China: Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangxi, Guizhou, and Guangzhou. In her view, the spiritual wealth from music is all around the world: We learn, we earn, we work together, we win together!
