Bio

Dr. Cinthia B. Satornino is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Connecticut, and independent consultant specializing in strategic planning, marketing and sales management. After spending more than a decade in corporate and institutional settings as a business professional and consultant, Cinthia entered academia to pursue cutting edge research. She earned her MBA from the University of Florida and her Ph.D. at Florida State University. Cinthia’s research and consulting focus is on uncovering how firms can quantify and leverage the capital embedded in their social structures to increase productivity, innovation, and performance. She has coauthored award winning publications in several outlets, including the Journal of Marketing. Cinthia was a board member for the Teradata University Network, serving as the communications chair. She was the founding co-Chair of the Committee for Hispanic Excellence in business, a Ph.D. Project/White House initiative. She was invited to serve as a panelist for the Fulfilling America's Future: Latinas in the U.S. White House summit in 2016. She was also recognized as a 2016 Emerging Scholar by Diverse Magazine and 2017 Top 40 Undergraduate Business Professors by Poets & Quants.
