Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to identify the relationship between parenting and prosocial behavior of elementary school students; using a methodology of quantitative, non-experimental, transversal, exploratory, descriptive and correlational type to a sample of accessibility, non-probabilistic and accidental of 120 parents.

The results indicate that the parents achieved high scores in the communication and role distribution scales, the students obtained average scores with respect to prosocial behavior, identifying a very significant correlation r (120) = .215, p = .018 among the children parenting and the prosocial behavior of the students.
