Iryna Sotnyk (Dr. Sc. (Econ), Professor) is a Professor at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration at Sumy State University (Ukraine). Her scientific interests include Economics of Energy and Resource Saving, Energy Economics, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Development, Social and Solidarity Economics. She is a Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the International Scientific Journal "Mechanism of Economic Regulation" (Sumy, Ukraine); a Guest Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed journals "The International Journal of Energy Issues" (2019-2020) and "The International Journal of Innovation and Sustainable Development" (2020-2021) (Inderscience Publishers, Switzerland); a leader and a contributor to more than 25 research projects, including international ones. Under her leadership, 8 research projects, including 4 grants of the President of Ukraine (2006, 2008, 2012, and 2016), were performed. Iryna Sotnyk had international training in Russia (2013), Estonia (2015), Lithuania (2016), Israel (2016), USA (2019-2020), Latvia (2021). She is an author and a co-author of more than 300 scientific and 40 educational publications, including 17 articles in international peer-reviewed journals. Iryna Sotnyk is a laureate of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Prize for youth's contribution to the development of the state (2004) and research scholarships of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (2011-2012), the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (2012-2013), Fulbright Visiting Scholar Programme (2019-2020), and Latvian State Research Scholarship Programme.
