Bio Prof. Falfushynska received Dr. Sci. in Biochemistry from Chernivtci National University. She studies the interactive effects of natural and anthropogenic stressors (including metals, organic pollutants, nanomaterials and climate change) on aquatic invertebrates and low vertebrates with the emphasis on determination of tolerate limits of adaptive response. She had joined the Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University as a senior researcher in 2005 and then in 2017 she was employed at Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University as the Vice rector for Research and International Relations. She has served as a principal investigator or co-investigator on a number of research projects funded by the Ministry of Education and Science. She was awarded by Fulbright (2015) and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (2017). She serves as a mentor for 5 PhD students, as an editorial board member for several journals including indexed by Scopus and WoS, and as a reviewer for more than 20 toxicological, biochemical, ecological and biomedical research journals published by Elsevier and Springer. She has authored nearly 140 research articles, 90 conference presentations, 15 patents. |
