Georgy Shcherbina, borned in 1953. In 1985 I received a degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences from the State Research Institute of  Lake and River Fisheries of the Scientific and Production Association for Industrial and Warm-Water Fish Farming (GosNIORKh NPO Promrybovod), Leningrad, Russia and in 2009 a degree of  Doctor of Biological Sciences from the Institute of Lake Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) St. Petersburg, Russia. Since 1984 till now I am working in the Laboratory of Ecology of Aquatic Invertebrates of the Institute of Biology of Inland Waters named after V.I. I. D. Papanin RAS (Borok, Nekouz, Russia). Research interests: hydrobiology, malacology, ecology and production of chironomids, nutrition of benthophagous fish, the environmental role of Zebra mussel in experiment and nature.
