Dr. Eng. Izabela-Maria APOSTU

Born in Petrosani City, Romania, in June 1991, she graduated the University of Petrosani, Faculty of Mining, obtaining the Bachelor’s degree in 2014 in the field of Environmental Engineering and Environmental Protection in Industry, the Master’s degree in 2016 in the field of Environmental Impact Assessment and Ecological Reconstruction and the Doctor of Engineering degree in 2019 in the field of Engineering Sciences - Mines, Oil and Gases, currently occupying an assistant position in the Department of Environmental Engineering and Geology at the same higher education institution. Author and co-author of 10 articles indexed in Clarivate Analytics database (ISI Web of Science) and over 15 articles indexed in other international databases. She is actively involved in 2 EU grant agreements (BEWEXMIN and RAFF) and was part of the research teams of one national contract. She represented the University of Petrosani at numerous conferences in Romania and abroad. The didactic activity is related to teaching seminars and laboratories and coordinating projects for some specialized disciplines in the field of environmental engineering (slope stability, hydrology and hydrogeology, ecological rehabilitation of degraded land, and anthropogenic impact on the environment) and coordinating bachelor papers.
