Born in Petrosani City, Romania, in November 1981, he graduated the University of Petrosani, Faculty of Mining (Bachelor of Engineering in 2005, Master of Engineering in 2007 in the field of Environmental Engineering and in 2009 he obtained the Doctor of Engineering degree in the field of Engineering Sciences - Mines, Oil and Gases), currently occupying a lecturer position in the Department of Environmental Engineering and Geology at the same higher education institution. He is the author and co-author of 5 books and manuals, 19 articles indexed in Clarivate Analytics database (ISI Web of Science) and over 40 articles indexed in other international databases (including SCOPUS). He is actively involved in 3 EU grant agreements (BEWEXMIN, RAFF and TRACER) and was part of the research teams of 5 national contracts. He participated in practice training programs in Ukraine and United Kingdom, represented the University of Petrosani at numerous conferences in Romania and abroad (receiving several awards), and is a member of organizing committees and reviewer at national and international conferences (SIMPRO, SESAM). The didactic activity is related to giving lectures and teaching seminars and laboratories for some specialized disciplines in the field of environmental engineering, coordination of bachelor papers and dissertation theses and since 2016 is also part of doctoral guidance commissions.
