Mykhailo Liakh – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Oil and Gas Machines and Equipment, Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.

Mykhailo Liakh was born in 1949. In 1994 he defended his dissertation and received the degree of candidate of technical sciences. Since 1998 - Corresponding Member of the Ukrainian Oil and Gas Academy.

Mykhailo is a research supervisor of postgraduate students, has already prepared four candidates of sciences. During his work at the university he was awarded many prizes for scientific achievements and pedagogical activity: sign "Excellence in Education of Ukraine" (2009), honorary award of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" (medal of the third degree) (2009), State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology (2016) and a number of other awards from the regional council, the Ukrainian Oil and Gas Academy and the university and other institutions.

He has more than 200 scientific publications, including monographs, textbooks, foreign publications, as well as more than 70 copyright certificates for inventions and patents for inventions and utility models.

Research interests: investigation and improvement of drilling and oil and gas equipment; investigation of changes in the properties of flows of gas-liquid and liquid-gas mixtures in separation equipment and foam generating equipment.
