Bio Nadia Bibik is the well-known Ukrainian pedagogue. She is a Doctor ofPedagogical Sciences, Professor, Full Member (Academician) of the NationalAcademy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine Today she works as a ChiefResearcher of the Department of Primary Education of the Institute of Pedagogy ofthe National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.Nadia Bibik was born on September 25, 1948 in the village of Novosilky,Gorokhiv district, Volyn region.In 1965 she finished general secondary school and in 1972 she graduated from theFaculty of Philology of the O. Gorky Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute (now –M. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University) with a degree of a “Teacher ofthe Ukrainian language and literature”.From 1972 to 1976 was teacher of the Ukrainian language and literature at thesecondary school No. 190 in Kyiv. Since 1976 was a researcher of the Laboratoryfor the Education and Upbringing of Six-Year-Old Children of the ResearchInstitute of Pedagogy. From 1993 to 1999 she was headed the Laboratory ofPrimary Education of the Institute of Pedagogy. In 1999 started working as a Vice-Rector for Research of the Central Institute of Postgraduate PedagogicalEducation. In 2001 she was appointed at the position of the Deputy Director forResearch of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of EducationalSciences of Ukraine.Nadia Bibik is a co-author of the State Standard of Primary Education for the NewUkrainian School; project manager for the development of a new integrated subjectfor primary school “I'm exploring the world”.2 Doctors of Pedagogical Sciences and 6 Candidates (PhD) of PedagogicalSciences defended their dissertations under her scientific guidance.Nadia Bibik participated in the international projects: “Equal access to qualityeducation” and “Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study”(TIMSS). |
