Dr.Sc. Volodymyr Horbulin, Academician of NAS of Ukraine, Kyiv, Ukraine.Volodymyr Horbulin, born in 1939. He graduated from Dnepropetrovsk University (1962). In 1962-76 he worked at the Pivdenne Design Bureau in Dnipropetrovsk, in 1980-90 he was the head of the sector of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, 1990-92 - head. Subdivision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, 1992-94 - Director General of the National Space Agency of Ukraine, 1994-99 - Secretary of the National Council of Security and Defense of Ukraine, since 1999 - Adviser to the President of Ukraine, since 2000 - Chairman of the State. Commission on Defense and Industrial Complex of Ukraine, 2007-10 - Director of the Institute of National Security, since 2014 - National Institute for Strategic Studies. In 2011-15 he was a member of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
