Since 1994, Regional Symposium on Chemical Engineering (RSCE) has been an annual conference providing a platform for global experts, academics, researchers, industry professionals, and government representatives to engage in insightful discussions and exchange ideas on advancing chemical engineering for a sustainable future.

This year, the event is proudly hosted by the Department of Chemical Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), in collaboration with the Indonesian Chemical Engineering Higher Education Association (APTEKIM) and The Chemical Engineering Chapter of The Institution of Engineers Indonesia (BKK PII).

The theme of the symposium is “Engineering a Sustainable Futuer: Chemical Engineers at the Forefront”. The transition to renewable energy sources and sustainable practices has become crucial in addressing climate change, driving the development of new paradigms across various industries, including chemical and process engineering. This conference will highlight the critical role of chemical engineers in promoting the shift toward renewable energy, advancing the sustainable bioeconomy, achieving net-zero emissions targets, pioneering bio-based and renewable chemicals, innovative food technologies, and implementing eco-friendly process technologies. Through a series of engaging keynote presentations, structured panel discussions, and networking opportunities for research development, this conference is designed to explore innovative solutions and collaborative efforts aimed at shaping a greener and more sustainable world. This symposium will provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange information, present new developments, discuss technological advancement, and provide a perspective on the global process, industry, and ASEAN global trends for a sustainable futures.
