Health Literacy: Health Professionals’ Understandings

Abstract

The TICs  applied to the medical field have experienced considerable development in recent years. They have radically changed the traditional means of acquiring researching information by  Professional’s practice.

In this study application, consists of analysis behavior change of Professional’s practice to use Pubmed which launched in 1996. PubMed provides access to research published in International refereed medical journals.

Health literate organizations and library professionals take responsibility to ensure that understand and use heath information  by Professional’s practice and to enhance the public’s understanding of health and medicine, such MedlinePlus.

MedlinePlus attempts to enhance the public’s understanding of health and medicine, so the MedlinePlus might be considered as a working experiment to promote Health literacy.
