The Evolution of Logistical IoT

Abstract

Logistics companies have experienced a tremendous amount of growth over the years and it is poised to continue. Finding ways to make supply chains run smoother is a crucial step. This paper discusses the origins of the Internet of Things and its current challenges, it’s evolution into what it is today, and what it’s set to become in the future. It provides a brief overview of the technologies that made it possible, are currently used, and are expected to be used. This paper also goes into some current implementations that logistics companies use.
