A Literature Review on Mammography for Detecting Breast Cancer

EasyChair Preprint no. 13921

3 pagesDate: July 10, 2024

Abstract

AI has been in many places when it comes to assisting human in their work. There are less researches on AI in helping radiologists identifying cancers. To find the answers, a search for research papers with the keyword “AI”, “radiology”, and “mammography” were conducted in consensus.app and google scholar. Then, 20 papers were picked as the source of information for this literature review. It is proven that AI can assist radiologists in identifying cancer. AI cannot replace human radiologists and that doesn’t mean the radiologists should work alone because there are some cases where the AI identified cancer and human radiologists don’t which will lead to false-negatives.

Keyphrases: AI, Mammography, Radiology
