Design of Magnetic Sheet for a Three-Phase Transformer with D-Yn Connection in FEMM

Abstract

Currently, the approach of electromagnetic phenomena by means of simulators since the development of their theory, has been the basis for the design of numerous machines and systems improving the method of production and construction of these electromechanical systems, compared to the old prototype method by observing scale models already developed. This paper presents the design of a magnetic sheet for a three-phase transformer with a Dy-n connection, taking advantage of the simulation tools available in FEMM (Finite Element Method Magnetics), in order to understand phenomena such as flow links, the windings, material saturation curves and excitation currents, that are very important aspects for understanding the operation of the transformers.
