EasyChair Preprint 12861

Abstract

This study investigates the determinants influencing the decision to use health applications, employing the Technology Acceptance Model and the Health Belief Model theories. Utilizing an online questionnaire, data were collected from a sample of 409 participants, comprising both males and females. The research findings indicate that Perceived Ease of Use factors (β = 0.085, t = 2.318) exerted the most significant impact on the decision to use health applications. Additionally, the Perceived Severity factor (β = 0.719, t = 18.926) exhibited a substantial effect on the decision to use health applications. Notably, risk perception factors related to disease, including perceived benefits of disease prevention or treatment and perceived barriers to practice, did not significantly influence the decision to use health applications.

Keyphrases: Health Belief Model, The Technology Acceptance Model, mobile health application
