Interoperability challenges arising from the diversity of devices and interaction methods are addressed by interoperability testing. This article presents a testing guide for IoT applications, built through a literature review identifying relevant technical approaches and standards, such as ISOs. Validation of the guide involved a structural evaluation using the TAM model and a controlled experiment in an IoT application, highlighting the effectiveness of the guide in planning and executing interoperability tests.
