Client engagement specialist (Open Position)

EasyChair is a spin-off of the University of Manchester that develops and maintains a rapidly growing Web platform currently used by over 4.0 million researchers globally.

We use creative revolutionary technologies for implementing efficient and extensible Web services.

Our current activities include online conference management, conference registration, video conferencing and scientific publishing. We are currently expanding to provide further extensive services to our external stakeholders. These include:

  • Publication Management
  • Online Slide / Video presentations
  • Training / knowledge on our services
  • 24/7 Application / Program support

We currently host thousands of conferences worldwide, including world-leading conferences in the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Web and Software Engineering. Some of our most prominent corporate customers include Microsoft Research, IEEE and ACM (world’s largest engineering and computing societies) and Elsevier Science (the world’s largest scientific publisher).

Who we are looking for

Our company is searching for a client engagement specialist who will help present our technology and platform to a wide range of audiences which include the following:

  • Online website enquiries
  • Existing clients / platform users
  • Potential new target markets

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieving our company key sales objectives
  • Development of marketing strategies targeting EasyChair users
  • Manage specific client engagement projects including relevant updates on new services and EasyChair platform upgrades.

Essential Requirements

  • Driven, self-motivated
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to rapidly absorb new and complex information
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
  • One team attitude approach

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

  • University degree educated
  • AS – A level qualification or equivalent in English Language & Literature
  • Previous work experience within education and academic sectors preferable but not essential
