The Third Conference on Software Engineering and Information Management (SEIM-2018)
opens its doors to young researchers and practitioners in different areas of computer
science and software engineering, providing an opportunity to present their research,
discuss state-of-the-art technology and engage in useful networking. As before,
we consider SEIM to mainly focus on researchers who are just starting out their
scientific careers, and hope to ease their introduction to the conference process.
On the other hand, SEIM might also be of interest to more experienced researchers,
who are aimed at sharing their research with a wider scientific community, as the
selected papers will be published on CEUR-ws.org.
We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to:
[_] Algorithms and data structures [_] Mobile systems
[_] Big data [_] Modelling
[_] Cloud systems [_] Natural language processing
[_] Coding theory [_] Networks and telecommunications
[_] Compilers [_] (Non-)relational databases
[_] Crowdsourcing [_] Operating systems
[_] Data storage and processing [_] Programming languages
[_] Development management [_] Recommendation systems
[_] Digital signal processing [_] Robotics
[_] Distributed systems [_] Semantic web
[_] E-commerce / e-government [_] Social networks
[_] Empirical software engineering [_] Software analysis
[_] High-performance computing [_] Software testing
[_] Information retrieval [_] Software verification
[_] Information security [_] Software virtualization

// Submissions
Papers must be submitted electronically, via the SEIM-2018 EasyChair website:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=seim2018
All submissions must come in PDF format, conform to the IEEE eXpress Conference
Publishing template (https://goo.gl/wHPpuD), and not exceed 7 pages (including
figures, appendices and references). We also welcome survey papers with an
increased page limit of up to 12 pages. Both Russian and English papers are accepted;
the papers should present original work of the authors, not submitted in parallel to
other conferences or journals. Russian papers must also include the English title,
author information and abstract on the very last page (after the references), to
facilitate its processing by the scientific indices.
Depending on the number and quality of submissions, the Program Committee may
present the best papers with the Distinguished Paper award. These papers will be
considered for publication in one of the peer-reviewed Russian journals, after
passing an additional round of reviews.
// Reviewing
SEIM-2018 will pursue a single-blind review process. To be eligible for publication
in the conference proceedings, the authors must account for the reviewer’s comments
and questions in the camera-ready version of the paper to the best of their abilities.
// Proceedings
Conference proceedings will be published after the conference. Selected papers will be
submitted for indexation to the Russian Science Citation Index and CEUR-WS.org.
The selection process will be guided by the results of the post-conference review of the
camera-ready versions of the accepted papers.
