Tulsa Research Partners invites you to submit a talk or poster for the Fifth Tulsa Citywide Research Day. Tulsa Research Day is a free daylong conference for Oklahoma, especially Northeast Oklahoma, researchers to share their work with others in the Tulsa regional community. Although submissions from all disciplines are encouraged, this year features a special focus area track on Technology Commercialization.
Tulsa Research Partners is a collaboration of The University of Oklahoma - Tulsa, The University of Tulsa, Tulsa Community College, both Tulsa campuses of Oklahoma State University (OSU-CHS and OSU-Tulsa), Oral Roberts University, Northeastern State University, and the Oklahoma Innovation Institute.
Tulsa Research Day is Friday, November 10th. A research reception is again planned for the night before, Thursday, November 9th, and will feature refreshments and collaborative lightning talks and discussion by selected researchers.
Submission Guidelines
The program committee is soliciting submissions to display a broad cross-section of research in Tulsa. Submissions highlighting broad collaborations, works with opportunities for collaboration, research including students, particularly undergraduates, and works in progress are especially encouraged.
Submissions previously presented in whole or in part in other venues are welcome, as are works in progress intended to be presented in other venues in the future.
The following submission categories are welcome:
- Contributed talks during Research Day, 15-20 minutes in duration, which may be of general academic interest or in the theme of Technology Commercialization;
- Lightning talks during the Thursday reception, 2 minutes or shorter, intended to spark conversation and collaboration; and
- Posters of general academic interest, to be presented during a Friday lunchtime poster session.
List of Topics
- General interest: All scholarly disciplines, including but not limited to health and biosciences; math and computer science; IT and cyber security, food, energy, and water systems; social sciences; humanities; and engineering and natural sciences.
- Special interest in Technology Commercialization: Topics of broad interest to commercialization, including but not limited to: Intellectual property for scientists; communicating science; academic/private partnerships; industry sponsored research; tech transfer lessons learned; and entrepreneurship.
Venue
TRD 2017 will be once again be held at the University of Oklahoma - Tulsa campus.
