Abstract:
The article gives an analysis of data of an All-Ukrainian Monitoring Survey of secondary school teachers conducted by the Ukrainian Educational Research Association using TALIS methodology to determine generation differences of professional activity motivation. According to the generation theory of W. Strauss and N. Howe a new term «generation» is involved to the empirical data in order to divide the sample into homogeneous groups of representatives of silent, baby boom, X, Y, and Z generations. To find the motivation of professional activity methodological approach of J. Barbuto and R. Scholl was used. Paying attention to the conceptions of V. Rozanova, Y. Kuliutyn, V. Bezdukhov authors of the article attempted to determine motivation methods of professional activity for all generations of teachers.
