Traditional teaching methods, often based on repetitive practice, fail to integrate cultural context and cognitive depth, limiting their effectiveness. This study introduces the "Situational Interactive Serious Game" paradigm, which incorporates a three-dimensional cognitive framework: the "Primitive, Constructive, and Cultural Layers." The developed system, WGIF, combines progressive tasks with the mental flow theory to enhance learning. Results show that the system significantly increased children’s interest, retention rates, and cultural understanding, with experimental group scores 23.7% higher than the control group (p < 0.05). This research offers a targeted design for educational games that foster cross-cultural communication and improve Chinese character learning.
