These environments enable the simulation of research protocols in planetary sciences, the planning and execution of extravehicular activities (EVAs), and educational and science outreach activities. In Colombia, Fundación Cydonia, with the support of Fundación Parque Jaime Duque, develops environments to strengthen capabilities in analog space exploration. Recreating planetary environments within limited spaces requires integrating efficient space use, scientific objectives, and the geological characteristics of the represented body. In this context, modular structures enable the recreation of multiple environments while optimizing construction, logistics, and maintenance costs. This work presents the design and implementation of a reconfigurable modular structure to simulate an approximately 4 m diameter impact crater in the Rock Garden of the Simulated Space Exploration Analog Habitat in Colombia (HAdEES-C), in Tocancipá. The structure consists of four concentric modules representing the crater walls and ejecta deposit, together with a central structure simulating a central peak. The design allows the representation of craters at different evolutionary stages and the simulation of surface modification processes associated with volcanic, tectonic, or erosional activity. It will incorporate geological areas of interest for reconnaissance and sampling, as well as removable and interchangeable analog samples with different textural and mineralogical characteristics. The model can also be adapted to represent other landforms, such as modular lava flows. The modules are currently being collaboratively constructed with Fundación Parque Jaime Duque, consolidating a flexible and scalable infrastructure for future analog missions in Colombia.
