This extended abstract details an ongoing project aimed at creating a taxonomy of gameplay content on the platform YouTube. It discusses the limitation of current modes of game preservation, highlights the variety of videos made by content creators, and briefly discusses how this work can help create a symbiotic relationship between institutions, fans, and fan-creators.
