Abstract:
The fast approach that lung ultrasonography (LUS) pro-vides in giving important informations for the conduction and management of the critically ill patient makes it the first choice of evaluation exam. LUS score are quantifying methods of evaluation for pa-tients with pulmonary symptoms. Phantom models with consolidation imagem are not usu-al in the literature, even this sign being of great importance in LUS practice. The aim of this study is to propose a LUS phantom that simulates the different LUS score classifications, from regu-lar lung until subpleural consolidation and peripheral lung parenchima injury. The results with the proposed lung phantom were similar to those obtained in clinical reality.
