There has been an increasing density of research in the scientific field in this area, highlighted through biblio-metric approaches. This article aims to investigate emerging research trends in Analytic Education and the opportunities for adopting data analysis in higher education, promoting predictive analyses to foster evidence-based practices that can transform education. The research was conducted in two main phases: a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) limited to the Scopus and Web of Science databases, covering the period from 2020 to 2024, to identify and evaluate evidence in the literature, followed by a meta-analysis using term association in SciMAT to map research topics and collaborations. The study observed a substantial increase in publications on analytic education starting in 2023, identifying topics such as "Data Analytics," "Higher Education," and "Predictive Analytics" as emerging areas. A strong initial connection exists between big educational data and learning analytics, expanding to integrate artificial intelligence and adaptive learning systems. This points to an integrated approach that is considered fundamental in analytic education. In contrast, big educational data highlights the expansion of educational possibilities.
