Abstract:
New models of dual antenna GPS receivers with improved characteristics have appeared recently on the world market. Thus the scope of problems which might be solved has been significantly expanded. The paper considers the possibility of using modern dual antenna receivers to solve some practical problems of angular orientation. An experimental study of dual antenna GPS receiver models using ALIGN technology from Novatel is being carried out. Effective methods for improving the accuracy of a dual antenna GPS receiver are proposed. The subject of the article is the study of the possibility of using dual-antenna GPS systems for solving practical problems of navigation and steering. The study used the methods of experimental research, experiment planning, as well as statistical processing of the data. The results obtained make it possible to formulate practical recommendations on the use of dual-antenna systems for solving specific problems of navigation and steering.
