Abstract:
The collaborative consumption, specifically through digital sharing platforms, are on the rise globally these years. Several studies point to a large potential of sharing practices and analyzied digital sharing platforms (e.g. Airbnb or BlablaCar), but the study of user’s behaviour is only just emerging. We know next to nothing about the link between users and digital sharing platforms. This research aims to investigate factors leading to user discontinuance in home swapping usage and to explore this process. Our findings complements the theoretical frameworks about digital sharing practice and highlights the importance of discontinuance as a new research stream.
