Although we have a public policy in place with the objective of legitimizing Integrative and Complementary Practices (PIC) in Primary Health Care (PHC), professional training has become a challenge in the face of education aimed at treating the disease. The aim of this study was to identify the training and qualification processes of professionals who offer PIC in PHC services in the Metropolitan Region of Goiânia. Twenty professionals who offered PIC in 14 PHC services participated in our study. Data were collected through directed interviews, transcribed and analyzed using Content Analysis with the aid of NVivo © software to identify the thematic categories. From the speeches, the category emerged: training and capacity building processes in the PIC. PIC's offer was dependent on the professionals' previous competence or on-the-job training.
