This research is based on the premise that, to achieve conscious and sustained growth in the sector, it is first necessary to investigate the current perception of the general population on the subject, so that subsequent steps can have a greater and more efficient impact. A quantitative methodology was applied using an online questionnaire administered to a sample of Costa Rican adults not involved in the space sector, exploring their knowledge of current projects and benchmarks, potential stereotypes, and preferences in order to make their entry into the field more attractive and accessible. The data were statistically analyzed using SPSS to identify trends and facilitate the design of activities aimed at strengthening the aerospace industry both nationally and internationally. The results show that, although participants know at least one person, group, or company involved in the aerospace sector in the country, approximately 60% are unaware of national space activities, and 80% express interest in becoming more involved. Furthermore, the majority acknowledge having heard at least one stereotype about the topic, and some share certain opinions, primarily those related to economic and academic aspects. Regarding media presence, participants agree that national aerospace projects should be given greater visibility through platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
