![]() Title:Simulation and Empirical Analysis of the Energy-Saving Performance of Industrial Buildings Conference:2026 SCEM Tags:1.eQUEST, 2.耗電密度 and 3.田口方法 Abstract: This study investigates the energy-saving performance of an industrial building in the electronics manufacturing industry by using the eQUEST building energy simulation software. For the lighting system, the lighting power density (LPD) was reduced by replacing conventional 40 W fluorescent lamps with 14 W microwave sensor LED tubes. For the air-conditioning system, the chilled water supply temperature was increased by 2°F, from 44°F to 46°F, to improve the operational efficiency of the HVAC system. The building energy performance before and after implementing these measures was then compared. The simulation results indicate that, compared with the baseline Energy Use Intensity (EUI), the lighting retrofit achieved 75.5% of the expected energy-saving target, while increasing the chilled water supply temperature exceeded the expected target by 51.3%, demonstrating that both measures provide significant energy-saving benefits. Furthermore, this study examines the effects of increasing shading device depth and applying different HVAC operating schedules on building energy consumption. The Taguchi Method was employed to determine the optimal combination of four energy-saving measures. Using the L9 (3⁴) orthogonal array, the simulation results generated by eQUEST were analyzed and compared to identify the optimal energy-saving strategy, providing practical guidance for energy-efficient operation and retrofit of industrial buildings.
