Abstract:
Human IT capability gained mainly from the organization based on the strategic perspective of human resources. Human capital is a valuable resource for the organizations as intellectual assets. Hence, human IT resources can be perceived as strategic capability that directly impacts the performance in Jordanian banking sector, this research aims to examining the impact of IT human resources on performance by during the time period (2014 - 2019).To achieve the research objectives it is expected from this study to generate practical knowledge which IT human resources of the respective banks can be used to create a competitive advantage and improve the performance. In addition, the study is expected to contribute to the literature in several ways, including demonstrating how IT human resources as a dynamic capability could impact on the competitive advantage and of the firm performance as a resource in light of resource-based view (RBV) theory. Thus, this study proposed to use a questionnaire to collect and analyze data from 16 Jordanian banks, targets the population about 855 management staff of the Jordanian banks. The empirical results show that there is a mediating effect of competitive advantage between IT human resources and performance, this conclusion related to the sufficient capturing of respective setting which in turn a positive impact is found. Another explanation, human IT resources in the context given could be revealed together with other resources and capabilities, or through different business routines.
