By incorporating distance decay, Trail Visibility Scores were computed and validated using VR simulations. Results show strong correlations between modeled and perceived impacts. This workflow provides a transparent framework for visual impact assessment and demonstrates the potential of VR-based validation to link GIS modeling with perceptual evaluation.
