This study presents the development of TransforLab, an immersive virtual reality platform for training and qualifying electrical professionals and students in the context of testing distribution transformers. The virtual environment was built in Unity, with detailed 3D modeling of the equipment and intuitive interactions on Oculus Quest 2, enabling tests to be performed in accordance with NBR 5380 and NBR 5356 standards. The platform enables the simulation of various tests, including polarity determination, transformer magnetization curve, no-load operation, short-circuit operation, insulation resistance measurement, and transformation ratio measurement, producing results consistent with real measurements. TransforLab has proven to be an efficient alternative for professional qualification, reducing costs and eliminating operational risks associated with testing in physical laboratories. As a continuation of the project, the platform is intended to be applied in Electrical Engineering courses and in companies in the electrical sector to improve training in maintenance and routine testing. Furthermore, the integration of digital twins for remote monitoring and non-invasive testing will be investigated.
