Abstract:
Verification of complex integrated circuits (IC) is a significant concern for many microelectronic designs. Verification aims to identify and eliminate any design errors or bugs, ensuring that the system performs as expected under various conditions. Due to cost and resource limitations, verification becomes the bottleneck for many complex IC designs. Performing simulation using hardware description language (HDL) is a common approach to verifying circuits, but simulation times can increase when the complexity grows. The application of AI in verification is an ongoing effort, showing promise to speed up the verification process, but challenges persist. This paper introduces a new method to integrate AI into an analog/mixed-signal (AMS) verification environment. The result shows that the proposed framework decreases the simulation time while keeping good accuracy compared to the AMS/HDL simulation.
