Abstract:
In practice, the phenomenon of water droplet deposition on glass surfaces in particular, or surfaces, in general, is very common. The surface of this glass can be the glass of the vehicle, the surface glass, the mirror of the house, a device or it can also be on the surface of the eyeglasses….Water droplets on the glass surface of the vehicle cause difficulties in moving, or in cleaning technology, the adhesion of water droplets makes it difficult to clean surfaces. In this study, the motion dynamics of the water droplet on an inclined surface in a gravitational environment are investigated by numerical simulation using the front-tracking method. Numerical simulation results show that the velocity of the water droplet gradually increases when traveling on an inclined surface, while the shape of the water droplet remains almost unchanged during the movement. At the same time, when the surface inclination angle is larger, the water droplet moves faster.
