Abstract:
Legal informatics endeavours for a deep understanding of the inter-section of law and ICT by systematic and multi-disciplinary study. With digital government and administration and increasing human - intelligent machine confluende for example administrative law and lawyers are today reflecting similar problems with which legal informatics has worked for decades. My presentation will discuss a systemic methodic inquiry informed by legal informatics in two topical chanllenges: a socio-legal understanding and governance of the information and cyber security risks and the risks in the human - intelligent machine collaboration increasingly shaping realization of rights in digital administration applying artificial intelligence. I will discuss the current risks and and how the methods learned from the legal informatics will be helpful in constructing well-founded solutions to those risks in law.
