Bio

Dr. Ella has an academic and industry experience of more than 20 years. She was awarded a scholarship from British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to study at the Nottingham University School of Law (United Kingdom), and an Academic Excellence scholarship from Ukrainian Government to pursue her Ph.D. study.

Dr. Ella has taught a variety of Comparative Legal and International courses in the National Aviation University (Ukraine), Vladivostok State University (Russia), and the Henan University (China). She is an author of two textbooks in Public International Law (published in Ukraine) and more than 90 research papers, regularly presenting the results of her research in international conferences.

She served as a Principal Investigator in three research grants funded by the Russian Government (“Implementation of special economic zone regime (porto franco) in the Far East of Russia” and “Comprehensive analysis of the regulation of state and municipal services”), and by Russian Fund of Fundamental Studies (“Ensuring the rights of investors in the banking and financial sectors in the context of the digitalization of the economy in the Russian Federation and the leading financial centers of East Asia: a comparative legal aspect”).

Dr. Ella is an official reviewer at the Web of Science and SCOPUS indexed journals: Malaysian Journal of Syariah and Law (Publisher: Faculty of Syariah and Law, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia) and FWU Journal of Social Sciences (Publisher: Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar).

Dr. Ella is a member of Asian Society of International Law and serves as an expert for academic projects at the National Research University “Higher School of Economics” (Moscow, Russia). For eight years she was a resident coordinator of The BUILD Initiative (Building Ukrainian Independence and Lasting Democracy), organised by The Levitt Institute for International Development (USA).
