Mahadev is a final-year PhD student at the Edinburgh Fire Research Centre, The University of Edinburgh, under the supervision of Dr. David Rush. His research focuses on the behavior of low-cement concrete under fire and sustained loading, funded by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, India. He is an alumnus of Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, and completed his master’s in structural engineering in collaboration with CSIR-CBRI, Roorkee. During and after his master’s, he worked with Asian Energy Services Limited, Mumbai, as a project engineer, contributing to the development of India’s first jet fire test facility. Mahadev is a member of the International Association for Fire Safety Science (IAFSS) and SFPE and served as the president of the SFPE Edinburgh Student Chapter (2023-2025), as well as a member of the SFPE UK Chapter.
